Pre-press Capabilities

From concept to design, through film and plates to press, Barcam's prepress department provides a seamless transition in an integrated workflow environment. Operating on either Mac or PC platforms, Barcam can either create your files or accept your files from your design team. We can produce high quality scans, film and colour proofs or utilize our computer to plate technology to provide clients with the most cost competitive solution. Files can be emailed directly to our pre-press department via regular email methods or through our FTP site for larger and more complex files.

Large and Small Press Options

The Barcam print facility can service a full range of print projects from one-colour business cards to multi-colour brochures. Both large and small press capabilities give Barcam the edge in the ultimate flexibility for our clients printing needs.

Our 2-colour Heidelberg Quickmaster presses offer the most advanced features in smaller offset equipment. This technology provides excellent reproduction, and the equipment has a maximum production speed of 10,000 sheets per hour allowing for a fast turnaround for your 1 and 2 colour print projects.

The 6-colour MAN Roland 300 is an example of one of our larger presses and this totally new generation in press technology is incredibly versatile and productive. This system prints up to 15,000 sheets per hour, prints up to six colours with exacting colour matching features, and provides the highest quality printing at very competitive pricing.

Bindery Services

Binding and Finishing services often require that a project be sent out to a separate facility, which can add days to your delivery time. Barcam resolves this issue by housing extensive binding and finishing equipment, allowing our staff to oversee even the most complex printed materials, and still maintain our fast turnaround. Services include:

• Drilling and 3-hole punching
• Collating and bindery assembly
• Cerlox and wiro binding
• Corner and saddle stitching
• Perfect binding and sewn section binding
• Forms collation and padding
• Die-cutting
• Folding and gluing
• Embossing
• Shrink wrapping and polybagging
